Rejoice and be thankful

ANCHOR SCRIPTURE:
(1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 kjv) “Rejoice evermore, pray without ceasing. In everything give thank for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”

Our anchor scripture for today encourages us to give thanks to God. It says, “In everything” meaning…In every situation, you’re to give God thanks, irrespective of the circumstances, worship and praise him.

When you look at the year in retrospect, be joyful and excited in your spirit, be thankful to God for all He has done for you. Count your blessings!. Don’t muse over the disappoinment or things you wished you had accomplished. Rather, rejoice over what God has done for you, and celebrate your accomplishments.

Remember, joy is an expression of your faith. In rejoicing and giving thanks to God, you’re getting his attention on your faith. Sometimes, we should give thanks in expectation. That’s why the bible says in Philippians 4:6-7; “Be careful for nothing; but in everything by PRAYER and supplication, with THANKSGIVING, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Dear Lord, I worship you for who you are, you’re the great God of glory in whom I’ve been enriched in all things. Thank you for all you’ve done for me; you’ve made my life glorious; I will exalt you now and forever in my life and family, Hallelujah, Amen.
